Samsung is trying really hard to go beyond hardware manufacturing. The Korean giant already has its Android UI (TouchWIZ), app store (Samsung Apps), mobile platform (Bada), as well as a number of app/content Hubs like the Gaming Hub, Social Hub and Learning Hub. Like that’s not enough, they also have their own group messaging client – Samsung ChatON, which until recently was available for Android and Bada devices, only. Then Sammy launched iOS and Symbian apps, and now it’s taking an additional step forward with the launch of a BlackBerry client.
Available for both touch and non-touch BlackBerry smartphone, the application comes with all of the features ChatON users are able to access on other platforms, including group messaging, as well as the ability to exchange pictures and videos.
In related news, ChatON for Android also got an update to look better on tablets.
All said, it’s kinda safe to assume that the next thing we’ll see is ChatON for Windows Phone. We’ll let you know as soon as that happens, and in the meantime you can get the messaging application by searching for “chaton” in the app store you’re using.
