Dolly Rebecca Parton is an American singer songwriter, author, multi instrumentalist, actress and philanthropist, best known for her work in country music. She is one of the most successful female country artists, garnering the title of  The Queen of Country Music.

Dolly is the first to say she’s not the youngest singer in the business. She is name dropped by young artists like Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum as an artist that has inspired them in their own careers. Despite the youth of today’s hit makers, Dolly is still hanging tough in the industry  and taking on new technology.

Dolly released her latest album, Better Day, last week.  The album, which debuted at No. 9 on Billboard’s Country Chart, is full of songs that are meant to be uplifting. Dolly penned all the songs on the album which were inspired by events like the tsunami in Japan, conflict in the Middle East and America’s economic crisis.

I don’t write just to relieve my own anxieties, I write for the people who can’t express themselves, Dolly said. I can’t save the world, but I might be able to save someone today if I can put them in a better mood. The music’s designed to be like a ray of sunshine for all those folks in the dark.

Dolly recently stopped by the GAC studios to chat about her new album and upcoming world tour. She had a lot to say so if you missed her.

The other woman in the Maria Shriver/Arnold Schwarzenegger divorce looms large in the breakup of the marriage, but they has nothing to say about the breakup. It is fascinating, because while they was carrying on with Arnold, they had plenty to say about the marriage, according to her friends, even telling that they was more of a spouse to Arnold than Maria because they was always there for him.

 

In the divorce petition, Shriver cites irreconcilable differences as her reason for ending the 25 year marriage. Shriver is asking for spousal support & wishes the judge to deny Arnold the right to ask for support for himself though it is highly unlikely they would. Shriver is asking for joint custody of their minor kids, who he names in the document as 17 year elderly Patrick Arnold Shriver Schwarzenegger & 13 year elderly Christopher Sargent Shriver Schwarzenegger. &, in the petition, filed by disso queen Laura Wasser, Shriver is asking Arnold to pay the attorneys' fees of both parties. As for the date Arnold & Maria separated it is not specified in the divorce papers. According to the docs, the property accumulated in the coursework of the marriage will be divided at a later date. &, there is no prenup, so all of Arnold & Maria's earnings over the past quarter century will be divided 50/50. Arnold & Maria are on speaking terms & Arnold knew beforehand that he was filing divorce papers. Maria is telling friends he hopes this will be an simple & amicable divorce.

Alicia Silverstone is an American actress, author, and former fashion model. She first came to widespread attention in music videos for Aerosmith, and is perhaps best known for her roles in Hollywood films. Christopher Jarecki is a musician, radio show host and actor. He is best known for his work as the frontman for Geffen Records signed band. Silverstone married her longtime boyfriend, rock musician (for the band S.T.U.N.) and basketball coach Christopher Jarecki,in a beachfront ceremony at Lake Tahoe, on June 11, 2005.

And the Clueless star and Kind Diet author admits she went into full on nesting mode after Bear Blu made his grand entrance. Silverstone tells Us that She didn't leave the house at all for six weeks after his birth and she want's to soak in every moment of his scrumptiousness.
