Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are the tough cookies on The X Factor, according to series creator Simon Cowell. With the new X Factor judges at his side on Monday, the reliably acerbic Cowell said that Spears is “quite mean” and Lovato is “a brat”. But, Cowell added, he’s long wanted to work with Spears and said “there’s really something likeable” about Lovato. The pop stars are joining X Factor for its second season.Spears and Lovato replace judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who left after the show’s debut year fell short of the spectacular ratings Cowell forecast. Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Cowell will return as judges.

With taping under way in Miami, the X Factor panel spoke to a Beverly Hills, California, meeting of the Television Critics Association by satellite. Earlier on Monday, Fox announced that Cowell’s former stomping ground, American Idol, has hired Mariah Carey as a judge for next year.Spears was asked why she decided to join X Factor, which is paying her a reported $15 million.“I feel like being able to be on a show where you can give back and help people achieve their dream is just really interesting to me. It’s different from anything I’ve ever done,” she said.

She demurred when asked if she hoped it would boost her record sales.“It’s purely on the fact I love the show,” said Spears, who said she’d seen X Factor a “couple times” before signing on.The 19-year-old Lovato was queried about her concerns for younger contestants confronted with fame.In 2011, the singer-actress entered rehab for what were termed “emotional and physical issues”. She said that as a child who faced bullying, she had an eating disorder and later started cutting her wrists to vent her despair.

"Please come on stage and kiss me again. I miss you!!" Madonna tweeted.
Singer Madonna is keen to recreate the kiss that she shared with Britney Spears on stage. The star, who locked lips with the blonde singer on stage at the MTV video music awards in 2003, took to Twitter to ask if she would be interested in recreating the iconic moment again.

It seems that Britney Spears is looking for work. While the negotiations between her camp and the show “X Factor” have been ongoing for a while, no current deal has been made. It is reported that Spears has demanded 1 million dollars to come aboard as a panel judge. While the details of a “yes” or “no” are underway, Spears is receiving some mixed reviews about her possible contract.

It comes as a bigger surprise that Spears has asked producers of Modern Family if she could appear on the show. Even better is that the show may include some big names like Brad Pitt and George Clooney, who have all, asked to appear in the hit TV show. The show’s producers say they are interested in having the stars on the show however, they want the role to fit the star and this takes time. It will be interesting to see how the show will incorporate Spears from a “fresh angle”.

Britney Spears blew out the candles on her 30th birthday cake – and then got ready for a holiday break."Having an amazing time at the end of my tour," she Tweeted on Friday night. "Belated birthday party!"

Britney, whose birthday was actually the previous Friday, had one show left in Puerto Rico."Looks like my xmas list is complete," she Tweeted. "Thanks for all the great suggestions. Its been fun shopping.

American entertainer Britney Spears’ ex-bodyguard Fernando Flores has opened his mouth yet again. If you’ll remember, he’s the one who’s been shilling stories to The Sun ever since he left Britney’s employment after working for her from February through May last year. At first, Fernando kept things pretty believable with claims that Brit walked around naked in front of him, tried to tempt him into her bed, and refused to wear underwear in public, the latter of which was the “last straw” because Fernando got the blame for the fallout. These things weren’t exactly flattering to Britney, but they were plausible because  Britney has shown herself to be quite fond of going pantless in front of the paparazzi.

Then, Fernando escalated the game by selling the story that Britney beat her sons with belts and knowingly fed them foods to which they were allergic. When Fernando finally filed his lawsuit last September, he included the above allegations as well as the claim that Britney had sex in front of her kids.Flores has now filed a new document with the court, which is rather comical in one light but also quite serious in its potential ramifications. Flores is asking for $10 million in damages due to the “psychological damage, anxiety attacks, depression and insomnia” that he suffered because Britney farted, picked her nose, and took many drugs, including methamphetamines. Really.
