ASUS Padfone is now available in the company’s own backyard with retailers selling the device in three versions: the phone only, phone, tablet,Bluetooth headset/stylus, and all in one package that also includes the ever useful keyboard dock. The first option costs NT$17,990 (about US$610), the second NT$24,980 (US$850), and the third NT$28,901 (US$980). It’s a brand new device and its priced accordingly (i.e. expensive), with prices most likely going down in the next couple of weeks.
The Taiwanese company promised to launch the Padfone in April across the globe so we’re eager to know how much it will cost in the other parts of the world. While we’re waiting, feel free to check out our hands-on time with the Padfone, recorded during this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Again, Asus Padfone rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD screen, HSPA (optional LTE) and Wi-Fi connectivity, dual cameras, and so on.
