Salman Khan has been keeping a close tab on the collections of Shah Rukh Khan’s last release Don 2, the very way Aamir had done post RA.One.In fact, Salman, revealed a source, spent the better part of the last four days at YRF Studios before driving off to his Panvel farmhouse for his birthday party, checking on the box office collections of the Farhan Akhtar directorial venture.

Salman was keeping an account of the collections of Don 2 ever since it hit the theatres on December 23. Distributors were calling him up every hour to keep him updated on the latest collections. Salman was even taking down notes. After he had evaluated the weekend collections of the film, Salman was heard telling his friends how it was important not to waste money on film promotions.

The top five weekends are as follows:

1. Ra.One (Hindi) – 52.90 crore

2. Bodyguard 52.62 crore

3. Dabangg 48.82 crore

4. Don 2 (Hindi) – 45.40 crore

5. Ready 42.24 crore

Super Star Shahrukh Khan's ‘D’ tattoo in his upcoming movie Don 2 has been registered for copyright protection against the name of King Khan. This is for the first time, an actor will have a tattoo design registered in his name. Merchandise like caps, T-shirts, bags and other stuff will have the same design that Khan sports on his arm in the flick.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani says that it was a good idea to make the tattoo permanently his.“The biggest fans of the franchise are kids. Merchandise like caps, T-shirts, bags and other stuff will really be liked by them. It’s been five years since the first film. In this period, the craze for the film has just grown. We’ve realised that protecting the copyright to the tattoo design worn by Shahrukh Khan will keep the franchise alive”. 

According to Farhan Akhtar, the 'D' tattoo was designed as a representation of Don’s attitude. “In a world where men tattoo the name of their beloved on their arm. We thought we should have a subliminal symbol of Don’s confidence in himself. It is definitely not permanent but I think Shahrukh really enjoyed wearing it... maybe it kept him in the character’s frame of mind”.
